Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PillTrak ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including free and Pro subscribers.

2. Medical Disclaimer

• Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions regarding your medications
• Drug interaction warnings in the App are informational only and do not replace professional medical advice
• Never start, stop, or change a medication based solely on information in this App
• In a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately
• We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from use or misuse of the App

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use PillTrak
• Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

4. Free & Pro Plans

Free Plan

• Up to 3 medications
• 2 AI scans per month (photo, voice, or text)
• 30 days of dose history
• Basic reminders and adherence tracking
• 1 family connection

Pro Plan

• Unlimited medications
• Unlimited AI scans
• Unlimited dose history
• Family sharing for up to 5 connections
• Priority support

Pro features are available via auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple App Store account. Pricing is displayed in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are managed through your Apple App Store account
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via App Store → Subscriptions
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy
• Prices may change with reasonable notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass subscription limits or access controls
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Share your account with others or use the App on behalf of a third party without their consent
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the App's infrastructure
• Use family sharing to access another person's health data without their explicit consent

7. Family Sharing

• Family sharing requires the explicit consent of all participants
• You may only invite people who have agreed to share their health information with you
• Care recipients retain full control over their data and may pause sharing or leave a group at any time
• You are responsible for ensuring family sharing is used with proper consent
• Family sharing limits depend on your current plan

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by PillTrak and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of any health data you enter into the App.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Notifications will be delivered at the exact scheduled time
• Drug interaction data is complete or current
• AI scan results are accurate

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Attempt to abuse or exploit the service
• Engage in fraudulent activity related to subscriptions

You may delete your account at any time in the app from Settings → Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, you may contact privacy@pilltrak.com for assistance. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.
